Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Free Full Game

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a 3Dplatformer which focuses on acrobatics and agility. Throughout much of the game, the player must attempt to traverse the palace by running across walls, ascending or descending chasms by jumping back and forth between walls, avoiding traps, climbing structures and jumping from platform to platform, making other types of well-timed leaps, solving puzzles, and using discovered objects to progress.
Combat has a heavy focus on using acrobatics to defeat foes. One example is the ability of the Prince to rebound off walls in order to strike enemies decisively. The player can also vault over the enemies' backs and then finish them off. The player generally attacks enemies and blocks using a sword, although only the Dagger of Time can defeat humanoid enemies, with the exception of the final sword that is acquired in the game.
The Dagger of Time contains "charges" of the Sands of Time from the hourglass that allow the Prince to control time. The Prince has the ability to "rewind" time and travel up to ten seconds into the past. While using this ability, all sounds and previous action play backwards. For example, if the Prince was struck by an enemy attack during the rewound period, the health he lost will be given back to him, or a bridge that was destroyed a few seconds ago will repair itself. He can also save himself from death by falling, by rewinding time. The Dagger also allows the Prince to slow down time, and freeze his enemies, using it as a main-gauche to attack them directly.
The Dagger only comes with a limited number of uses which are replenished by absorbing enemies and Sand Clouds with the Dagger. This encourages the player to confront and vanquish enemies (as opposed to avoiding them) in order to replenish the power to manipulate time during the more tricky acrobatic sections of the game. However, if the player does not absorb the Sand from a fallen enemy in about five seconds, said enemy will come back to life. Extra Sand Tanks (used for rewinding time) can be gained by collecting eight Sand Clouds, and extra Power Tanks (used for all other abilities) are gained by vanquishing sixteen enemies after having collected a new Sand Tank.
Early in the game, the player will receive help from a non-playable character named Farah. She will assist in solving puzzles too complex for one person. During fights with sand creatures, she will also shoot arrows in an attempt to assist the player. If she dies, the game ends

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - 360/PS3/PC

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - 360/PS3/PC

Publisher: Ubisoft Developer: Ubisoft Genres: Action-Adventure Release Date: N Amer - 11/15/11 Platforms:PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Assassin's Creed: Revelations, our final hours with Ezio Auditore and the last Renaissance period piece in the franchise, is now on shelves and in the hands of gamers everywhere. These are gamers who enjoy doing away with the most terrible, corrupt, and vile men in history and gamers who just like stabbing Templars and the attention-grubbing lower class in the neck. Only, dare we imagine it, being an assassin in real life would be more satisfying. We wouldn't have to look to video games to pull off awesome feats, and none of the reasons below involves a dagger. Well, at least not one in somebody's jugular.

Preparing dinner would take half the time

There are better, more socially acceptable applications for the many knives and swords your bad assassin self routinely uses to immobilize enemies. For one, dinner would be as easy as mashing a button repetitively to counter and strike, counter and strike. Only now you’d peel and chop, peel and chop. No vegetable, meat, or fruit would escape unscathed. No blade in your silverware drawer would go dull. And dinner guests would be endlessly entertained at your expertise and creativity with sharp objects.

No family member would ever bring up religion and politics again... ever...

Put any of your dozens of assassination targets together in a room, and they’re bound to forge alliances or lunge for each other’s throats. Life is a little like Assassin’s Creed sometimes, and family is a little like its authority figures you’re sent to kill. If relegating them to separate rooms or, in extreme cases, states doesn’t quit their fighting, then you’ll have to quiet their tongues… permanently. We’d bet a lot of money that if your family knew an assassin was sitting at the dinner table, trying to preserve civilized conversation and the togetherness of holidays, their arguments would cool faster than the food.

You could blend in anywhere

When you’re an assassin, no faction can refuse you. That’s because you’ve just either killed a whole lot of people, donated a whole lot of money, or you’re united by your common hatred of bad government. In real life, you don’t have to worry about giving cash or spilling blood. Just tell them what you do for a living, and no one will mess with you. If they remain unconvinced, just remind them of how many other trained assassins with a 100% success rate they know and they’ll rethink your proposal.
Not to mention, you’ll never feel out of place. Not looking or acting the part has never been a problem for Altair or Ezio, so you don’t need to buy the right clothes or even speak to fit in with a particular crowd.

You'd have more money than you can count

Life as an assassin comes with certain perks. One of these benefits is the unlimited potential to expand your bank account through pickpocketing. You’ll also fetch a fair price for taking on the odd assassination job. Once you have more money than good sense, you can purchase pretty works of art, renovate shops and landmarks, decorate your pad, or do any other number of activities that require little thought and loads of cash. And keeping in mind that you’re a licensed killer, everyone will grant you a refund per your request. No threats or dramatic displays of violence are necessary.

Traveling would be infinitely more interesting

Imagine never having to pay for another plane ticket or cab ride or having to pump gas into your "baby" and praying she can make it up that hill, tires and all. Yeah, an assassin’s means of transportation is so much simpler. Just borrow somebody else’s car and jack another one if it breaks down. Or sprint over rooftops to avoid early morning or evening traffic. You don’t even need to fuss with climbing down step-by-step. Just swan dive into a conveniently placed hay bale (or the closest substitute, like some nice trimmed hedges) and you’re where you need to be, only faster.

Your ancestors would be cool and important

Maybe you were raised in a family known for its excellence in growing potatoes. Now, there’s nothing wrong with potato farmers or potatoes. Everybody likes boiling and mashing and putting potatoes in stew, as one clever hobbit degenerate once observed, but maybe you think you could do a little better than a legacy of misshapen brown vegetables. As an assassin, the entire course of history is open to your perusal. You can relive the Italian Renaissance or any other key historical era as any one of your dozens of cool and deadly assassin ancestors. Relive their memories, play out their lives, and then wake up and eat a potato.

Women would understand you

… And put on too few layers of clothing for you, and encircle you as a “distraction.” That’s right. Life as an assassin entitles you to enlist all sorts of help, and sometimes life calls for the aid of the opposite sex. Face it. If talking to girls is scary, you can always mention you’re an assassin and oh, look at all these big battle scars, and they’ll fall all over you.  You won’t have to say another word, because the whores—ahem, the women of Assassin’s Creed like to please.
If you happen to be a girl assassin, let’s just say you could compare male suitors by the length of their swords.

Life would consist of side quests

Even an everyday task as menial as shopping could be made at least two times more interesting if you were an assassin. You’d be challenged to fill your cart and make it out of the store in a short spurt of time, all while maneuvering around crazy shoppers and bypassing long checkout lines. You’ve been to Wal-Mart, right? It’s a fight for survival and understocked discount items. Being an assassin would mean you could push right back and whip out some throwing knives if the crowds don’t cooperate. Okay, so we definitely lied about this no “daggers in the jugular” thing.

You’d always win at capture-the-flag

Assassins like Altair and Ezio have more experience in collecting flags, feathers, and other useless objects than anyone else.  Luckily for you, that invaluable skill has been passed down with each generation. While it’s trivial, you’re practically guaranteed to win at Easter egg contests and similar treasure hunts, and you’ll never misplace your keys again.

At the least, you’d make an excellent news reporter

All those years spent eavesdropping on targets will come in handy in more mainstream jobs, too. An assassin’s natural gift for stealth and physical “encouragement” will make no conversation off limits and no witness reluctant to talk. No building is impregnable and no guards are too strong to stop you, master assassin and cub reporter. Now get out there and win yourself a Pulitzer.

Need for Speed: The Run - 360/PS3/PC/Wii

Need for Speed: The Run - 360/PS3/PC/Wii

Publisher: Electronic Arts Developer: EA Black Box Genres: Racing Release Date: N Amer - 11/15/11 Platforms:PC, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360

Say what you will about how the quality of Need For Speed games have wavered over the years, the series is back on an upswing.  Though Shift 2: Unleashed didn’t really do many favors with its too-aggressive AI, there was no question it brought out the best in skilled drivers.  Whatever players didn’t get into that obviously could do major coasting in Criterion’s awesome Hot Pursuit.  Now we have The Run, the latest from the local Need For Speed vets, Black Box.  It focuses more on the intensity of the races itself, and even though there are snags that keep it from being a smooth running ride, it has enough heart-pounding racing moments to coast by.

In the game, you’re playing as a racer who’s gotten himself in a spot of trouble lately.  When The Run starts, you’re actually trapped in a trash compactor, with your vehicle getting crushed.  You’ll barely escape with your life and then take part in a high-speed pursuit, trying to shake gun-toting mobsters that aren’t too pleased with you.
Turns out this protagonist owes them some money, but a mysterious girl offers a solution.  An illegal nationwide race is about to kick off, with $25 million going to the one that wins it all.  Your job is simple – come in first.  Well, either that or drive to Mexico and start your new life as Jose.  Yeah, we’ll stick with the competition, thanks.
Need For Speed: The Run features 70 different events, but the main game is divided into ten quarters, where you race across the United States and pass a certain number of opponents to assure you stay in first place.  It’s not quite that easy, as the AI is quite aggressive (not super aggressive like Unleashed, but pretty damn close) and everyone from stupid pedestrians to angry cops try to get in your way.  The whole thing plays out like a chase film, and when the game stays behind the wheel it keeps this energy going, with plenty of high-octane stunts (the San Francisco bridge jump looks way more believable here than in Gone In 60 Seconds) and beautiful car wrecks.
However, not all is easygoing with this ride.  Aside from the somewhat-ruthless AI, you’ll also have to watch out for passerby traffic acting ridiculously idiotic.  Who swerves in front of a speeding vehicle, anyway?  What’s more, environmental effects and unneeded crash replays can get in the way, throwing off your rhythm and possibly leading to your own costly collision.  Then there are the quick-time event sequences, where you get out of the car and run on foot.  Hit the buttons in the right order, or your ride is over.  These are pretty tiring, and happen more often than we’d prefer.  Black Box should’ve cut these out entirely.  (Didn’t they learn anything from Driver 2 at all?)
Furthermore, why does the game’s story take itself so seriously?  Look at how ludicrously fun The Cannonball Run was when it came out – and it focused on a sea-to-shining-sea race as well.  Granted, that game had Burt Reynolds while this one has, well, not Burt Reynolds, so take that for what you will.  But Black Box should’ve buried tongue firmly in cheek with this one and put more humor into the game, rather than go the all-too-familiar Michael Bay route.
OK, now that the negative stuff is out of the way, let’s get back to the positive.  Along with a (mostly) great single-player set-up, there are a huge variety of cars available, as well as side challenges that will keep your foot firmly on the gas pedal as you clean up and unlock new content.  Furthermore, there’s online play, with plenty of heated competition to take on and the return of Autolog, so you can track your racing progress and show off your best times to others.  This is always a good feature to have on hand, even if it takes a little longer than usual to load.

The Run is the first racing game to use the Frostbite 2 engine, which we previously saw at work in Battlefield 3.  While there are times where things can look a little ugly (particularly weather effects and some character models), the racing action itself runs fairly smooth, with great-looking vehicles and tracks that wind all over the place.  It’s cool how some of the environments can change, as well, including ice tracks that will put your traction to the test.  The music selections in the game are excellent, with some good movie soundtrack-like picks thrown in with some catchy rock tunes.  The sound effects are fitting as well, with authentic car engine purrs and crash sounds.  The voice work, though, ehhh…forget it.  These guys need to loosen up just as much as the scriptwriters.
If Black Box had trimmed some of the fat in Need For Speed: The Run, namely the AI quirks, QTE sequences, and too-serious story, it would’ve been as much of a joyride as Hot Pursuit.  As it stands, it’s mostly above average, thanks to the excitement generated by the racing itself and some solid online support.  The Run may not be the ultimate race, but it’s one you shouldn’t skip.  Even if you’re not too fond of the driver.
