Sony India has launched a new 3D Blu-ray home theatre system, the BDV-N990W. The system comes with Sony's S-Master full digital amplifier featuring its 3D surround technology, which it claims delivers realistic 3D sound. The 5.1 audio system also features satellite speakers and energy-efficient Magnetic Fluid Speakers that use ferrofluid (ferromagnetic fluid) for distortion-free sound. The setup comes with four floor-standing speakers that deliver a total output of 1,000 Watts RMS.

The home theatre system (HTS) comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, 2 HDMI ports, a front and rear USB port, and is DLNA-certified, allowing the transfer of content from compatible devices. If you happen to own a Sony Tablet, you can use its universal remote function to control the system. The HTS also sports feather-touch buttons and wireless surround amplifiers, and the company claims that it supports multiple media formats including MKV, MP4, and AVC.
