Nokia Lumia 1020's 41MP Camera's Complete Technical Specifications and features

Nokia is suffering falling sales from past few years. This fall occurred mainly due emerging of Android phones with lot of innovative features. But now Nokia is back in action with its new flagship phone, Nokia Lumia 1020. This masterpiece from Nokia has 41MP Camera which can be a biggest feature for its sales.

In this article, I specifically talk or write about the features and specifications of the Camera of Nokia Lumia 1020.

Technical Specifications:

The Main Camera of Nokia Lumia 1020 has 41MP, PureView sensor with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens. The Camera resolution is 7712 x 5360 pixels and it comes with standard auto focus. The sensor size is 1/1.5 inch, f-number/aperture is f/2.2, and the focal length is 26 mm and Camera minimum focus range 15 cm. The 41MP Camera take snaps in JPEG format.

The Camera is fitted with Xenon flash which has 4.0 m of operating range and it has modes like Off, Automatic and on.

The Camera has Video and Still camera modes. It also includes Scene modes like Automatic, Night Portrait, Sports, Night, Close-up and Backlight. The White balance modes are Cloudy, Incandescent, Fluorescent, Daylight and Automatic. The Light sensitivity of the camera is Automatic, ISO 100, ISO 200, ISO 400, ISO 800, ISO 1600 and ISO 3200.

Features:

Nokia Lumia 1020’s camera features Optical image stabilizationtechnology which can now only be seen in some mobile phones like Samsung galaxy S4 Zoom and HTC One. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system of 1020’s camera provide the best possible stabilisation for when the phone is handheld. That means you get reduced blur in your pictures – both at night and when your hands are unsteady.

The Nokia Lumia 1020’s PureView Camera is made using advanced floating lens technology which takes in five times more light than competing smartphones without using flash, making it possible to capture the best pictures and videos even at night.

Nokia Lumia 1020’s camera features Back-illuminated sensor. A back-illuminated sensor, also known as backside illumination (BSI or BI) sensor, is a type of digital image sensor that uses a novel arrangement of the imaging elements to increase the amount of light captured and thereby improve low-light performance.

The camera has 6-lens optics. This compound lens is a collection of simple lenses of different shapes and made of materials of different refractive indices, arranged one after the other with a common axis. The 6-lens optics reduces optical aberrations to take Perfect photos.

Lenses get their zoom rating by taking the ratio between the longest and shortest focal lengths. So for example a 35-105mm lens will be rated as 3X (105/35 =3). The Camera of Nokia Lumia 1020 allows to magnify the image up to 3x bigger using its 3X High resolution zooming abilities.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has the following Softwares which lets you to take perfect snaps.

Nokia Pro Camera:

Nokia Pro Camera lets you to take pictures in Auto mode or you can take full manual control over exposure, shutter speed, ISO, white balance and focus, just like on a DSLR-camera. The different framing grids help to frame a shot, and if you did not get the shot completely straight, don't worry - you can straighten and crop it afterwards, over and over again. Plus, for the first time ever for Nokia Lumia, Nokia has included an HD video mode that records high-quality stereo sound.

Panorama:

Creative Studio:

Nokia Smart Camera:

Image of Verizon's Moto X leaks, LTE in tow

The upcoming smartphone from Motorola has been the talk of the town ever since we heard about it for the first time. The Moto X has been leaked numerous times and recently, we also saw the device with Eric Schmidt, the Google Executive Chairman at the on-going Allen & Co. annual conference in Sun Valley.

Now, the image of the Verizon bound Moto X has surfaced and the latest leak reveals the presence of the LTE radio in the smartphone. The image hints us that the upcoming device from Motorola might be running a newer version of Android.

Interestingly, the background behind the on-screen soft-keys looks semi-transparent in contrast to the solid black bar on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. However, this could well be a software customization, but with Android 4.3 around the corner, there is every chance that we are looking at what could be a new look for the stock Android launcher.

The Moto X will be assembled in the United States and the smartphone is expected to be announced in August.

Leak shows Moto X, HTC One hitting Verizon next month

We know the Moto X is real, and now it appears the phone will really be coming to America's largest carrier in time for back to school, give or take a few weeks.

What appears to be Verizon's launch schedule for the next several weeks has leaked, and it shows the Moto X set to "go to market" on August 23.

Also coming soon is another Android superphone that Verizon subscribers have been waiting to get their hands on for months -- the HTC One, which is shown as arriving on August 1.

There's a few key things that the Verizon road map, which was sent anonymously to Phone Arena, doesn't tell us. We still don't know when the Moto X might launch on other carriers, or if it will be available unlocked a la the Nexus 4. Also, given Verizon's recent track record and the fact that we're still talking about when the HTC One will come to the carrier, there's plenty of reason to believe we could be seeing the Moto X even sooner elsewhere.

I also can't vouch for the authenticity of the list or guarantee that Verizon won't change it in the coming weeks. Plenty of times I've been sent similar screen grabs, only to see it change a week later. After all, launch dates are malleable until announced to the public, and even then there can be delays.

That said, the list seems legit at a glance, and if it is, it's nice to see Verizon bolstering its stable of Android flagships.

Dubiously missing, however, is any mention of a new Google Nexus tablet. I've been hearing rumblings about the successor to the Nexus 7 coming to retailers in the next few weeks, and some recent FCC filings indicated that it might be carrying an LTE-capable radio that could connect to Verizon's 4G network.

For now though, that's still a unicorn yet to be spotted in the wild. The Moto X and Verizon HTC One are real, we're just waiting for our first sightings of them on Verizon.

iOS 7's Control Center for Android - Demo and Download

Apple is known for its innovation. Apple recently announced iOS 7, its latest software which has been self proclaimed as world's most advanced mobile OS. But I don't agree with that because most of the features looks like they were ported from Android.

Control Center is one of the innovative features of iOS, though it feels like an Android phone notification it feels really Good. If you want this feature on your Android phone, you have to download this Android App called Control center developed by Hi Tools Studio.

Control Center for Android has iOS7 UI Style. The App provides easy wifi, rotation, data connection, vibration and Airplane mode toggles. You can also control volume and brightness. The App also allows you to launch some apps like Camera, flashlight, calculator with simple touch. And you can also do all these things even on the lock screen.

Control Center for Android gives you iOS7 feel but it stills lacks iOS7 animations and music control support. But still its a wonderful application.

Top 5 Mobile Phones with 1080p Display

High resolution display is now one of the BEST gimmick of mobile phone manufacturers to attract customers. This gimmick has worked pretty well, Samsung has sold more than 20 million S4s. In this Article, I'm going to tell you about the Top5 such Mobile phones which has best-in class 1080p displays. This mobile phones in this article are Android phones because no other OS has 1080p Phones. Let's see them.

5. Oppo Find 5

Find 5 is the World’s First Smartphone with 1080p screen with 441ppi. Find 5's brilliant display was built on IPS Technology. When the Oppo Find 5 was announced back towards the tail-end of 2012, Chinese manufacturer Oppo released arguably one of the best Android devices to date, and one you’ve likely never heard about. Offered unlocked and with top of the line specs like a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 5-inch full HD 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera, and a full unibody aluminum frame — there was little to not like about Find 5. Recent news suggests that Oppo has upgraded Find 5 with Snapdragon 600 processor.

The Screen and the hardware of the phone are really awesome but it falls back because of its software and features. Though Oppa find 5 has Android in it, it is not as advanced as Samsung’s or HTC’s Software.

4. HTC Butterfly

HTC Butterfly is the second smartphone in the world to feature a 1080p display, after Oppo's Find 5. The phone has Android version 4.1, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and a 2,020 mAh battery.

The Butterfly is water resistant with an IP rating of X5 and has a 5-inch "Super LCD 3" display with full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels). This translates to a pixel density of 440 ppi.

This phone is in 4^th place because it has just 8MP Camera and it doesn’t come with HTC’s latest Sense 5. The screen looks a bit better than Sony Xperia Z’s screen but when it comes to specs, water-resistance and design HTC Butterfly clearly falls behind Xperia Z.

3. Sony Xperia Z

Sony Xperia Z is the World’s 3^rd phone with 1080p display. 5” full HD Reality Display has very high pixel density of 441 pixels per inch, for razor sharp pictures and superior brightness, the wide colour gamut gives the widest colour spectrum. Xperia Z’s HD display features progressive scan, for incredibly crisp pictures and no jagged edges.

The Xperia Z came out with the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) software and now Sony has started rolling out 4.2.2 jelly bean update. The smartphone has Ingress Protection Ratings of IP55 and IP57, making it dust protected, water-jet protected, and waterproof in up to one meter of water for up to thirty minutes, and features a 13.1MP Exmor RS camera sensor encompassed in Sony's Industrial 'Omni-Balance' Design.

The Phone looks stylish and performs well but its biggest drawback was its display. The sub-par viewing angles and contrast made me to keep it in the 3^rd place. But still because of its Reality display and Bravia Engine 2 the pictures and video looks more vivid or alive.

2. Samsung Galaxy S4

Samsung Galaxy S4 most expected and bestselling phone of the year 2013. The phone features a 4.99” 1080p 441ppi super AMOLED Display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Galaxy S4 the first TCO certified smartphone. The TCO certification will be issued based on user friendliness, safety, and products’ eco-friendliness.

Galaxy S4 features 13MP Camera, Snapdragon 600 or Exynos 5 Octa processor, 2GB RAM and 32/64GB internal which is expandable upto 64GB. The phone has many distinguishing software features such as Air Gesture, Smart Stay, and Smart Scroll.

The Galaxy S4 is still not the Best Smartphone with 1080p display because of Brightness levels. The Brightness of the Super AMOLED display is not as good as the IPS display. The plastic body design feels cheap in front of HTC ONE’s aluminum design or Xperia Z’s Glass body design.

1. HTC ONE

HTC One is the Best Smartphone of the year 2013. The 4.7” 1080p Super LCD3 display with 469ppi pixel density is brilliant. The viewing angles and the brightness is much better than Samsung Galaxy S4 or Sony Xperia Z. Thus HTC One has best 1080p display available in the market.

HTC One initially came out with Android 4.1 jelly bean but it has been now updated to 4.2.2 jelly bean. The phone also features Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM and 64GB non-expandable memory.

The HTC One was developed with an emphasis on unique hardware and software features, such as a uni-body aluminum casing, a new image sensor implementation for its camera, front-facing stereo speakers, Beats Audio, a revised version of HTC's Sense user experience, the "BlinkFeed" news aggregator and "Zoe" camera features.

The biggest Drawback of this phone is its camera. It has just 4 MP camera which is termed as Ultra pixel by HTC. Though the camera performs much better than Galaxy S4’s in low-light but it is still not the Best camera.
