This forum is private to the members involved in the conversation. ‘Conversations’ bring the domain of social media into the corporate setup. Here teams can interact with each other in the same way a Facebook user posts a status and others comment on it. Conversations can have a lot of applications in the corporate domain in terms of team discussions, or to achieve a solution to a problem. It can better be defined as “Facebook” for the office.

This is an invitation – only social network. The creator of twitter has created a social media platform which is specifically designed for the users’ creative space. Here the members can write stories about their childhood and adventurous past so that people can read it and marvel at its brilliance, instead of people posting gags on Gangnam Style and Justin Bieber. It is more like a blog network where creators are limited but everyone can comment and view the content.

3.Pheed:

For the “Business minded”

Pheed is a forum where you can sell your images, videos, thoughts and everything else but yourself, at a subscription rate. This is a site for celebrities and their ardent fans and followers exclusively. Here celebrities can post what they did the entire day and earn a sum for doing it. The philosophy behind the idea is why ‘share’ something for free when you can sell them? Stars like Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton are already members.

4.Thumb:

Caters To: The ‘Confused’ People

Thumb is a mobile app that helps its users gain the opinions of others. In September 2012, it reported more than 1.2 million users. With the highly active user base of Thumb, people can get varied opinions on various aspects of their lives, what is the best car to buy right now? Which new tattoo to get? Should I dump my boyfriend? Answers to all this and more will be found by throwing questions out to the world, which is more than ready to answer it.

5.WTPA(Where’s the Party at?):

Are you a party animal?

WTPA is the best way to find where the hottest parties and events are taking place and the fastest way to inform your friends. The application includes Facebook, Twitter, Email, and Text Message share functions to ensure you can share the parties with everyone in a blink. Including those without the app! So find the place to be this Friday night and go out ‘cause it’s time to let the dogs out.

6.Chirp:

Now you can share with a sound

When you want to share an image with a room full of people, what will you do? Share it on facebook? – select each friend and tag them? uh no, via email – no does that anymore, Bluetooth- requires pairing or you can chuck all these and make your phone “Chirp” and send it via sound. WOW!!! Your phone emits a high-pitched, two-second-long, robotic squeak and other phones within audio range pick up the sound and instantly download the photo or message. Chirps can be shared in a boardroom or a crowded bar, broadcast over loudspeakers to reach huge audiences or even embedded in YouTube videos or TV programs.
