October 22nd will mark another history made by Google. The very first Google Powered, Android Mobile Phone will be officially release by T-Mobile a.k.a HTC Dream.

This is the look of the phone.

On October 22nd, you could line up and pay $179 for this very first Google Powered Android on T-Mobile in the US (locked T-Mobile) on a two-year stint, or $399 contract-free.

Will you be lining up to be the very first few who owns a Google Phone? This T-Mobile phone will be named "Dream"

It is said that the press conference will be held on Sept 23rd. But the actual selling of T-Mobile Dream phone will only be out on October or somewhere before Christmas.

We have a winner here. The $250,000 is awarded to 10 teams and another $100,000 is awarded to 10 teams.

cab4me - This application helps you easily call a cab from any location worldwide, without having to know the phone number. The app also tells you your current location.

GoCart - Let's you compare prices by taking a picture of a barcode. It recommends online prices and stores nearby.

Ecorio - Ecorio automatically tracks your mobile carbon footprint, suggests transit and carpooling alternatives and lets you stay carbon neutral by offsetting your trips easily.

TuneWiki - A "social media player" that lets you synchronize lyrics for audio or video. It also shows music maps, which displays songs playing in the same area.

CompareEverywhere - Another way to compare prices while your shop with barcode

Locale -  Changes your settings base on your location. I guess it is like time, daylight saving time, date and stuff.

PicSay - Image Editor for image personalization.

Softrace - A way to challenge others physically through the  virtual world. Kind of weird, but it will be fun to know what others are doing in the same track.

Wertago - Share location of nightlife.

Life360 - Updates you one what is happening in your neighborhood. Tracks your family on the map.

Take a look at the detail timeline of Android updates. HTC Dream Headset with Android OS sounds pretty good.

There is a lot of submission for the Android Developers Chellenge, 1,788 to be exact and I can't wait for the result to be out on 21st July, 2008.

How can you have a mobile OS without any games right? There is 6 new games for Android and you could take a look at view Androids Games on video.

It seems that Apple is not releasing their SDK for everyone who applies and they are sending rejection letters to a lot of developers who applied. (Cnet)

An article about Iphone vs Android shows that Android will be like any other open source but Iphone will remain exclusive and close like any other Apple Computer.

There is definately benefit to close and open source. Stay tuned for the real battle when Android and Iphone 3.5 release.

Sometimes I just think that Google releases Android too early. The first android headset will only be release somewhere on 4th quarter this year and it is not until at least 2 to 3 years for Android to be a mature platform.

10 million will be awarded to developer who comes out with the best code for Android. So I am sure that a lot of developer is working on this right this moment.

Even if we wait, will Android be a hit? Will every handphone user wish to get an Android powered phone?

Michael Dell will be investing in the mobile world by manufacturing Smartpone to be used with Android. I think that it is a wise choice because Dell is always well known for selling cheaper computers with services.

Since there is no need for Dell to worry about the firmware, Dell will just need to ensure that all the hardware will be compatible with Android framwork.
